TECHNICAL DRAFTING NCII

In this course, students will acquire the skills and knowledge to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings through both manual drafting and computer-aided design (CAD) techniques. The Technical Drafting NCII program focuses on 2D and 3D drafting, preparing participants for roles in architecture, engineering, and design industries.

Students will start by learning drafting fundamentals, including orthographic and isometric projections, manual drafting tools, and drawing standards. The course then transitions to advanced CAD applications, with a strong emphasis on AutoCAD software, covering essential commands, dimensioning, layering, and plotting techniques. Practical exercises and real-world simulations will help learners gain confidence in producing professional-quality technical drawings.

Upon completing the Technical Drafting NCII, students will be able to:

  • Create precise 2D and 3D technical drawings using manual drafting techniques and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Interpret and apply drafting standards, symbols, and conventions in technical drawings.
  • Produce orthographic, isometric, and detailed sectional views for architectural, engineering, and mechanical projects.
  • Use AutoCAD software efficiently, including basic and advanced drawing commands, dimensioning, layering, and plotting techniques.
  • Develop and edit blocks, text styles, and hatching to organize and enhance technical drawings.
  • Apply appropriate scaling, annotations, and dimensioning to ensure accuracy and clarity in designs.
  • Utilize different coordinate entry methods, such as absolute, relative, and polar, to create precise drawings.
  • Prepare and print technical drawings with proper layouts, scaling, and presentation standards.
  • Demonstrate proper handling and use of drafting tools, equipment, and software.
  • Adhere to industry standards and best practices in technical drafting to meet client and project requirements.

Upon completion, graduates will earn a TESDA National Certificate (NCII), recognized both locally and internationally, ensuring they are job-ready for positions such as draftsmen, CAD operators, or design technicians. Whether you are pursuing a career in drafting or enhancing your technical skills, this course is your gateway to success in the drafting and design industry.
